How Do I Get a Static IP?

A static IP is an internet address fixed to your home connection that does not change between connections. With a dynamic IP, the address may change every session. A static IP is added to your home subscription as an extra service.
Who Needs One?
- People who connect to a home security camera or recorder from outside
- Remote workers who connect to IP-restricted work systems
- People running their own server, NAS or game server at home
- People who want to reach their home network via remote desktop or VPN
Application Process
You can submit your request through the customer portal or our support line on 0850 308 19 99. Identity verification of the account holder is required; pricing is shared when you make the request.
Activation
After approval, the static IP is assigned to your line and the configuration details are sent to you. This usually takes 1–3 business days.
