What is dark fiber?
Dark fiber is a fiber strand on which no equipment is yet running, in other words one that has not been lit. Only you use the strand between your two points; you connect your own equipment at the ends and decide the speed and technology yourself.
The physical side of the line, that is, maintenance of the cable and repair in the event of a fault, is our responsibility; the active equipment and network management are yours. This makes it suitable for organizations that have their own network team and want very high capacity or full control.

We review the route over our fiber network and carry out an on-site survey if needed.

What is the difference between dark fiber and Metro Ethernet?
With Metro Ethernet, we install the end devices and the speed is part of the service. With dark fiber, only the fiber strand is reserved for you; you connect the equipment and decide the speed and technology yourself.
What equipment is required?
You connect your own optical equipment at both ends of the strand. Equipment selection and network management are your responsibility.
What happens if the cable is cut?
Maintenance of the cable and repair in the event of a fault are our responsibility. You can report faults 24/7 on 0850 308 19 99.
In which areas can you provide it?
In Esenyurt and Silivri, where our fiber network is located. For other points, we carry out a site survey and state the feasibility in the quote.
Who is it suitable for?
For organizations that have their own network team and want very high capacity or full control. If you would like us to manage your network, Metro Ethernet or MPLS VPN is more suitable.
